DVF Leverages EDI to Continue Expansion to eCommerce

DVF needed to upgrade their ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics AX and needed an EDI system to support their current processes.

DVF, founded in 1972 by the legendary Diane VonFurstenberg, has a global distribution network in over 55 countries and 1500 points of sale including 148 DVF owned and partnered stores. Rather than attempt to expand upon their existing ERP platform which currently supports those 1500 global points of sale, DVF chose to build a completely new platform using Microsoft Dynamics AX for order processing.

Business Problem:

  • Moved the entire business onto Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
  • Needed to achieve the highest level of automation to be successful

Problems solved with Vantage Point EDI:

  • eCommerce orders are communicated directly to AX which uses Vantage Point to transmit those orders to DVF warehouses for processing and fulfillment
  • Manual intervention is at a bare minimum and only required to resolve errors, if needed at all
  • Integration with AX is completely seamless with no customizations required of the ERP

  • No problem scaling their operations to keep pace with ever-increasing ecommerce volume
  • Can support requirements of each trading partner with access to 6,000+ trading-partner profiles in Vantage Point
  • Easy to use, very user friendly solution that's especially easy to maneuver around when troubleshooting problem orders
