Microsoft Dynamics AX Customer Topson Downs Speeds Processing with Certified EDI Solution from Data Masons

Data Masons Software, LLC., a leading provider of Integrated EDI and XML solutions for Microsoft Dynamics customers, announces the availability of a case study for Data Masons and Microsoft Dynamics AX customer, Topson Downs. Topson Downs manufactures all categories of ladies’ apparel and focuses on supplying mass-market retailers and specialty stores. In this case study, the company shares the challenges of relying on custom programming to accommodate EDI and the significant business benefits of implementing EDI for Microsoft Dynamics AX from Data Masons.

Topson Downs invested in custom programming to join their trading partners in communicating via EDI. However, as demand increased, the mounting EDI customizations built on an AS/400 solution could not keep up and the resulting label generation errors challenged business operations. To insure its ability to expand with ease, Topson Downs worked with Microsoft Dynamics Partner, Sunrise Technologies, and Data Masons, to implement a fully integrated ERP and EDI solution that could eliminate the EDI customizations that jeopardized its future growth.

“With so many sizes, colors and styles being pulled into each order, getting the orders correct was imperative,” stated Magdalena Ramirez, EDI Coordinator, Topson Downs. “Now that we’ve switched to Vantage Point EDI,” continued Ramirez, “there’s no comparison... this is like a breath of fresh air.”

Data Masons’ Vantage Point EDI solution integrates with Microsoft Dynamics AX to solve critical EDI challenges that impact industry-specific business operations. The only EDI solution Certified for Microsoft Dynamics AX, it gives users the ability to automate their entire supply chain without unnecessary customizations to the ERP.

“When Topson Downs contacted us, they were trapped in a very expensive cycle of investing more into customizations to try and fix their EDI problems. Now that we have implemented our EDI Made Simple approach, orders are processed correctly regardless of multiple sizes, colors and styles being pulled into each order, and processed on time,” stated Dennis Bruce, Director, Business Development, Data Masons. “By removing unpredictable programming costs, error-prone order processing and time-consuming manual intervention, Topson Downs can confidently grow their business knowing that its EDI solution is scalable and flexible enough to go with them,” added Bruce.

Data Masons is a Premier Sponsor of AXUG Summit 2016, October 11-14, 2016 in Tampa, FL. The company will exhibit in the Solution Center and present in multiple sessions where attendees can learn more about the Vantage Point EDI for Microsoft Dynamics AX solution.
