Consulting Team Lead

Department: Consulting

Status: Full-time

Reports To: Director of Professional Services

Summary: The Consulting team lead is responsible for managing and coordinating the people and resources while building the processes required for professional delivery of Vantage Point related consulting services to existing customers. The delivery of these services should happen in an efficient and profitable manner. The Consulting Team Lead will actively assume and complete projects individually as required.

Essential Functions:

  • Team Leadership: This person is expected to identify the skills needed for each team member to be successful, recommend needed training, monitor team performance against strategic targets and provide mentoring or training as necessary. Additionally, any capacity constraints and non-person related resource requirements must be identified and proposed solution within strategic targets presented. This person is expected to participate in the hiring process for new consulting team members and will also lead the on-boarding process. 

This person is expected to positively motivate their team while following Data Masons corporate goals, ethics and policies.

This person is expected to review, define and continuously optimize consulting team business processes to increase efficiency and improve customer service levels.

  • Customer Communications: This person is expected to handle first level dispute resolution related to any of its team members.
  • Scheduling: This person is expected to manage his/her team in a way to meet published SLAs, SOWs and other customer commitments.  Implementation tasks and projects will be assigned by the Director of Professional Services in consultation with all Team Leads.
  • Consulting: This role is a player/manager role and the Consulting Team lead is expected to perform the same consulting tasks as their team members to achieve overall team goals.  This includes problem identification, troubleshooting and resolution; Systems analysis, implementation on VP projects as defined in proposals and SOWs, attending internal and customer meetings as required, complete required documentation, communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, manage multiple tasks.
  • PSO Strategy: The Consulting Team Lead is a member of the PSO management team and is expected to participate in the development, planning and execution of PSO strategic initiatives that deliver excellence in customer experience in a profitable manner.  Appropriate levels of confidentiality must be respected and maintained.
  • Sales: This person is expected to provide estimates when needed for consulting effort on new or existing projects & assist the Sales team during the quoting process.

This position will supervise a team.

Work Environment:

This is largely a sedentary role.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Hours are flexible and dependent upon the project needs.

EDI Senior Engineer

Department: Development

Status: Full-time / Exempt

Reports To: Director of Application Development

Travel: Minimal travel (typically 1-2 times a year) 

Who you are:

You are typically the top engineer on the team. Once you learn the nuances of the application the other team members look to you for guidance. You are an expert in C#, React, Bootstrap and SQL. You may not be an expert, but you are well versed in IIS as well as Azure. You are open to the ideas of others. You are able to effectively communicate with your technical peers as well as non-technical co-workers. You love a challenge and ultimately solving problems. Above all else you take pride in your work and pay attention to the details.

  • You have 10+ years of programming in C#
  • You have 3+ years of programming in React
  • You have 2+ years of programming in VB.net
  • You have 3+ years of experience using one or more of the following:
    • Net Web API, REST, WCF, etc.
    • Entity Framework
    • MVC
  • You have 5+ years of SQL Server experience
  • You have 5+ years of IIS experience
  • You have 2+ years of Microsoft Azure experience
  • You are familiar with Agile/SCRUM Methodologies
  • Knowledge of EDI a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ERP (D365, AX, NAV, GP) a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of SVN Source Control a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or applicable field

What you will do:

  • Software Development using C#, React, Bootstrap, and VB.net with a Microsoft SQL Server backend

EDI Consultant (US/Canada)

Status: Full-time

Job Description:

The EDI Consultant position is responsible for solving complex business interactions by implementing EDI software developed by Data Masons to integrate transaction data with Microsoft ERP platforms as well as other business applications in advanced distribution and manufacturing environments.

Essential Functions:

  • Consulting: This role is an individual contributor role and is expected to perform tasks that include systems and solution analysis, implementation of projects as defined in detailed statements of work, problem identification, troubleshooting and resolution using advanced data transformation tools. The candidate will attend internal and customer meetings as required, execute technical and functional projects and generate documentation and statements of work. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with C-level stakeholders as well as business users. The ability to manage time effectively as a consultant may work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Consultants are expected to be productive by billing 78% of their available capacity which is 40 hours per a normal 5-day work week. Work times are Monday – Friday except in occasional circumstances requiring weekend work.
  • Service Quality: Data Masons is an organization that strives for service excellence. Candidates that have a personal commitment to quality will receive preference for advancement.
  • Communication Skills: This consultant is expected to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Time and Workflow Management: This person is expected to manage their time effectively and monitor internal workflow as well as project plans to meet the expectations of customers and partners.

Travel:
Light travel is expected for this position is required including annual trip to the company headquarters in the USA. Project related travel may be required on a case by case basis.


Required Education and Experience:

  • University Degree, or higher.
  • Knowledgeable of ERP business processes such as order to cash, procure to pay, warehouse and shipping,
    automotive, and others.
  • Knowledgeable of EDI standards, XML, SQL and related tools
  • Has previously worked with a software company.


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Distribution oriented ERP integration experience is required – Microsoft Dynamics AX, Dynamics NAV, or
    Dynamics 365 experience preferred but not necessary
  • Consumer and retail oriented product experience, heavy equipment or automotive supply chain experience
    preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
This role will receive a competitive base salary, monthly bonus depending achieved billability, and allowances for travel.
