Dynamics AX EDI, Dynamics ERP Integration, Dynamics User Groups

HeroImages_Spring2014FOCUSWe’re headed to Dallas Thursday for Dynamic Communities’ AXUG FOCUS 2014 event! AXUG FOCUS is designed for Dynamics AX users to take a deep dive into the functional areas of manufacturing and to learn from leading supply chain experts within the industry – and we’re excited to be presenting!

Data Masons will present, “Collaboration: The Future of Technology and Your Supply Chain - EDI and Beyond,” on Thursday, June 12th at 9:45AM. During this session, Data Masons’ Brian Lynch will discuss the critical role of EDI communications between manufacturers and suppliers in establishing a competitive advantage and how collaboration in the supply chain is evolving with technology.

Brian will further discuss that while using EDI as an effective way for suppliers and manufacturers, along with customers, to share data is nothing new, the evolution of technology has increased the opportunity for collaboration between the groups. Brian will give Dynamics AX users insight into uncovering these opportunities and exploring how EDI technology can significantly impact the success of their supply chain operations.

And once it’s a wrap it Dallas, we’ll head to Indianapolis for the next AXUG Focus event, June 19 – 20. We hope to see you in Dallas or Indianapolis!

Dynamics GP EDI, Dynamics ERP Integration, Dynamics User Groups

gpugonesourcelogo_smallLike many of you, I recently got an email from Kim Peterson, GPUG Program Director, introducing a new program from GPUG. Last year GPUG introduced Collaborate, the
user group's online portal, and now there's Kim's introduction of a new concept of education: OneSource, GPUG's Education Hub for the Microsoft Dynamics GP community.

GPUG has a strong lineup of educational series that they are considering to kick off OneSource, including New to GP, Year End, and GP 2013. Today is the start of the first series, the Integration Showcase Series, designed to educate users on tools to write painless integrations. This series will feature different integration middleware products, integration techniques, and presenters from eOne Business Solutions, Scribe, Zap, and your Microsoft MVP Mariano Gomez. Mariano will be talking about Integration Manager for Microsoft Dynamics GP and how you can leverage it to build powerful, yet easy to use integrations.

For more information and schedule details, click here. Thanks Kim and to the entire GPUG Team for your efforts in delivering this new community resource.

tony_dungyEven if you're not a NFL fan, it's pretty exciting to hear that Tony Dungy, Minister, Parent and Former NFL Coach, will join the team at the User Group events in Tampa to deliver the keynote address.

Tony Dungy, author, former NFL coach and co-founder of All Pro Dad, will deliver the keynote address to AXUG Summit, NAVUG Forum, and GPUG Summit attendees on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd.

“We are delighted to welcome Coach Tony Dungy as our Summit 2013 keynote speaker,” says Andy Hafer, CEO of Dynamic Communities, Inc. “Our conference theme is ‘Elevate’ and I can’t think of anyone who embodies that concept better than Coach Dungy. For decades he has inspired those around him to achieve great things—both on the gridiron and through All Pro Dad, a program that helps motivate men to become better fathers. His message of inspiration and hope promises to elevate you and your team to new heights, both personally and professionally.”

Coach Dungy spent three seasons as an NFL player and 28 years as a coach. He was the first African American to win the Super Bowl and is just one of three men to win it as both a head coach and player. He helped establish All Pro Dad in 1997 and serves as national spokesman for it, which is a fatherhood program of Family First, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the family. Coach Dungy is also actively involved in prison ministry.

The Dynamics NAV User Group recently announced its latest hire, Sherry Linares, who will serve as NAVUG Program Director. Not only is this role critical to the growth and education of the NAVUG member community, but as a partner member, I can attest to the value this role brings to the partner community as we continually strive to raise awareness and deliver educational opportunities .

Andy Hafer, Dynamic Communities CEO, commented on how Sherry’s combination of NAV knowledge and energy will bring value to the Program Director role. “We are extremely excited to welcome Sherry to NAVUG. She brings with her extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV as well as an unbelievable energy and passion for the NAV community. As a seasoned user herself, she knows what it is like to walk in the shoes of a NAV user. Working in concert with the NAVUG Advisory board and other leaders, we look forward to unprecedented growth in North America and around the globe as everyone joins the “NAVUG conversation,” stated Andy.

Most recently, Sherry served as the IT Manager, ERP Specialist and Project Manager at Ashai Kasei Bio Process, Inc. where she provided implementation, troubleshooting, enhancements and user training for Dynamics NAV. She also oversaw the implementation of this as a new global ERP system for the company.

Welcome aboard Sherry! We hope you’ve enjoyed an unbelievable start at NAVUG and we look forward to working with you in the days ahead!
