Microsoft Dynamics NAV Customer Mitchell Fabrics Finds a Single-Source Provider for Everything EDI

Thread_Mitchell_FabricsTo embed or not to embed EDI within Microsoft Dynamics NAV?  This is one of the biggest questions Mitchell Fabrics had as they began the evaluation process to find an EDI provider that could do it all - meet their unique industry requirements, avoid ERP customizations and control costs.

Mitchell Fabrics serves large customers, including JC Penney, JoAnn Fabric & Craft Stores, and others, that mandate EDI to expedite the acquisition of product samples and orders. Having just deployed Microsoft Dynamics NAV, it was critical to implement an EDI solution with a low Total Cost of Ownership that would work most efficiently with their new Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform.

In this case study, Thomas Hicks, CEO, Steiner Enterprises, shares the critical requirements the company was looking for in an EDI partner and solution. Hicks details the team's choice to partner with Data Masons because its Vantage Point EDI for NAV solution is much easier to integrate, more reliable and more cost effective than traditional NAV EDI solutions built within the NAV product.

After just one year of using Vantage Point EDI, Mitchell Fabrics saved $60,000, a result they feel would have been unattainable had they gone with an embedded EDI solution. Read the full case study to learn how Mitchell Fabrics:

- Gained new found agility with the flexibility to implement EDI according to their business rules;

- Created new business opportunities with the ability to set up new partners simply and cost effectively; and

- Will avoid being marooned in older versions of Dynamics NAV as newer versions are released.
