Microsoft Dynamics GP MVP Mark Polino Dishes on Convergence 2013

April 3, 2013 @ 9:04 AM

After Convergence 2013, I caught up with many of the Microsoft MVPs to get their insights on the information shared at the event. Mark Polino, Microsoft MVP for Dynamics GP and a Senior Consultant with I.B.I.S., Inc. shares his thoughts: imagesCAK5K28C

[JR] What did you think were the major announcements and what are the implications for the ERP community(ies) that you support?

[MP] I loved the focus on customers in the Keynote and the GP session. For GP, I thought it struck the right balance of highlighting customers and showing off features. There weren’t any giant GP announcements but many previously announced items, like Business Analyzer on Windows 8, were nicely highlighted.

[JR] What information do you feel flew lower on the radar but that can impact / create opportunities for the user audiences?

[MP] I thought that the continued release of the web client for more areas of GP was a bigger deal than people realized. They are truly building out the whole product.

[JR] What was the most asked question that you received during CONV13 and what was your response?

[MP] People wanted to know how to get the presentations afterwards. Everyone wants instant gratification and we’re going to have to get better at delivering that. Mine are up at Virtual Convergence and at DynamicAccounting.net.

Thanks Mark!
